Street Toyota announces record sales

AMARILLO, TX – Street Toyota in Amarillo achieved the 40th highest volume in used car sales out of 13,050 in the state of Texas for 2015.  “This is a great accomplishment” says Mike Good, General Manager of Street Toyota.  “Ranking 40th in Texas is huge when you consider that we’re the most populous State, after California.”

Street Toyota’s rankings were announced recently by Cross-Sell Reports, a division of Dominion Dealer Solutions, which collects the information via state departments of motor vehicles.  Street Toyota’s rankings were compared to more than 1,300 franchised automobile dealerships in nearly 300 communities throughout the state of Texas, according to The Texas Automobile Dealers Association (TADA).   There are over 13,050 used car dealers in Texas when all independent lots are included.

“We’re honored to help so many families with their transportation needs in the West-Texas Panhandle area” says Cory Dupriest, General Sales Manager of Street Toyota.

With nearly 27 million inhabitants, Texas would actually rank number 47 in size worldwide if Texas was compared as an independent country (Saudi Arabia (30.8 million) and Australia (23.6 million)).  Street Toyota’s sales volume competes with dealerships in cities with large Motorplex areas like the Dallas/Fort Worth region at 6.4 million people.

“Last year we helped 2,858 people find the exact pre-owned or Toyota Certified Pre-Owned car that they needed” says Good.  “It’s not the total number of sales that impresses us, it’s the fact that we’re blessed with so many opportunities to serve our neighbors and friends in this part of the country” says Good. “It’s what makes coming to work every day so fulfilling.”

Street Toyota is a high-volume store in Amarillo, with a population 196,000.  “By paying attention to the needs of our customers we’ve been able to assist families not just from Texas, but also from Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas” says Dupriest.

C-4 Analytics conducted a memorable presentation at Digital Dealer 20 in Orlando recently. Justin Cook, co-founder of C-4 challenged dealers to not get lost in convoluted and confusing reporting. “Too often vendor reporting is designed to distract dealers from what’s important” says Cook. “I encourage dealers to hold their vendors more accountable.”

I applaud C-4’s commitment to providing innovative strategies and technology to help dealers reduce costs and improve their profitability with digital marketing.

My daughter has another idea about C-4; she disassembled their clever, Magic 8 Ball-style convention give away. “I wanted the dice inside” she says!
